Best seminar for sound system calibrations and overall audio fundamentals. I found Pat to be extremely knowledgeable. His time and experience in the industry had made his presentations and manual easy to follow. M.B.
I enjoyed the class. Great knowledge. Great info if you are bench testing and designing. I loved the class and worth the money. J.C.
I enjoyed the seminar very much and hope to attend more from SynAudCon. W.G.
Excellent seminar covering a very broad range of topics. Very helpful and insightful on things I wouldn’t have easily learned on my own. B.B.
I am familiar with much of the content. Pat’s presentation was a great refresher and did challenge me on a couple of things. J.W.
This has been one of the most practical seminar that I have attended! It is a lot to retain, but the pace is good. I can now understand why some like to repeat attending. L.A.
I thought the overall was very good. Pat is a man that knows the materials. J.O.
This was great for me. I have worked in this industry for 10 years and this greatly helped me to begin the quantify and understand things I didn’t know. M.M.
Thanks Pat and Brenda for taking our questions and for your patience. I like Pat’s analogies. D.B.
Very interesting and useful. M.B.
Excellent presentation! I especially liked his use of physical metaphors. For example: water pressure = voltage and flow = current. J.T.
This is one of the best seminar’s I have ever taken. J. B.
I feel SynAudCon training is important for me and my staff. The training made us a better company. D.S.
Very nice refresher. I am taking away more with a better understanding of what I have already learn. Z.D.
Pat is an extreme audio genius! J.C.
As an AV programmer, I’ve become proficient at controlling AV system. However, my basic AV knowledge was lacking. This class helped close the gap. D.F.
Great analogies to specific details, very informative. K.D.
I found the information to be very informative. It encourages me to investigate my current practices further. I am curious to see how correct / incorrect my audio methods have been. C.P.
Working with stadium sound, I get to use a lot of the tools that used in his Pat’s presentation. Every time I take one of the classes, I am able to take my diagnosis to the next level. I like taking class on Saturday and Sunday. It’s the only time that my phone doesn’t ring. J.P.
I appreciate your accuracy with words. no name
Broad content and real world examples were invaluable. Many topics I knew factually, but now I understand conceptually. D. M.
This course was extremely helpful. It helped shed light on many topics regarding audio and acoustics that I “knew” but did not understand how or why. D. L.
Highly informative as well as practical. A great resource to begin the experienced-based learning that is key to retaining and furthering skills. No Name
This is my second time attending this course. I retained more and more info has clicked for me. Pat’s teaching style is perfect for this type of information. D.J.
Very good overview of audio fundamentals and testing. Wish more time was spent on testing and configuration. Pat made some complex audio theory very simple to understand using real-life examples. His honest comments concerning the complexity of various issues. C.R.
Very technical, a lot of new information to study and research. S. H.
This level of training cannot be achieved anywhere else.
As a long-time attendee of many many SynAudCon training classes that date back to 1974, I have come away with a level of training that cannot be achieved anywhere else.
One of the most overlooked issues in training classes are copies of the presenter ‘ power point presentations. Just last month at a three-day workshop in Dallas/Ft/Worth, Texas, I attended my most recent SynAudCon class. Here, each attendee received an extremely professionally assembled workbook with all of the class attendees (great for future synergy). Good bios of all of the presenters and contact information! Day-by-day planned class schedules. Each presenter’s power point slides allowing one to make annotations and comments in your own book.
During class breaks many equipment demonstrations took place to strongly reinforce what we learned in the classes.
During lunch and supper breaks, we had an opportunity to interact with the presenters and other attendees.
There is no other opportunity available today for this level of training in a compact time format, and no one does it better.

I wish there were words to describe how profound of an impact you two have made on this world.
Thank you again for letting us be a small part of this SynAudCon. I mean it when I say I owe so much to you and Pat. The Passion, excellence and love you guys pour into every lesson, email and sidebar conversation is what makes SynAudCon the wonderful institution it is. I wish there were words to describe how profound of an impact you two have made on this world. As you are no doubt aware, SynAudCon is about so much more than audio. It is about relationships. It is about pursuing excellence in what one does. Ultimately, it is about the power of synergy. Proverbs 27:17 says as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. You and Pat have created a world where people come together to solve problems and to make each other better. The humility, love and kindness that pervades everything you two touch, has left a profound impact on me and I wanted to say thanks. It may seem hard to fathom how attending a few seminars could do anything more than just educate. But let me tell you it does. You and Pat have inspired me. Being a part of the SynAudCon community has given me so much that I can give away to others.
In the ensuing years since we first met, I have had the privilege of working with more churches, manufacturers and television stations then I can count. In every gig I’ve worked, I have actively sought out ways to pass along any idea or principle I felt would be of benefit. Every gig is an opportunity to invest in another. To put it another way, synergy has become a way of life. When I was younger and in search of life mentors, Mike Hedden connected me with you two and this network of geniuses who make up SynAudCon. I witnessed people in this community who have forgotten more about technology than I could ever hope to know. Yet despite having such a wealth of knowledge, you were all so humble, approachable and giving. SynAudCon may have paid the bills, but it has also been something more profound than just a business; it is a reflection of Pat and Brenda. So on behalf of the masses you have impacted over the years let me say thank you for everything!
Much of my current team is made up of people I have invested in while they were in high school. Without SynAudCon, I would have had nothing but misinformation to pass along to them. And even more importantly, I would not have known how much of a difference sharing with others could make if it had not been for your example. Many of the guys I’ve been able to pour into what I learned from you and Pat have gone on to form production companies, work for churches or become professional techies. One is even become head of internet security for the US embassy in Germany. I can assure you, anyone who knows me knows the name SynAudCon. I am always trying to send people your way. This is because SynAudCon not only makes us all better technicians, but it also makes us better people.
SynAudCon has an uncanny way of inspiring excellence and igniting a passion for learning. Bill thrasher even gave me his card and wants to get together for lunch. I wish I knew how to say thanks for inspiring both myself and my team and for connecting me with new people like Bill whom I can learn from. This letter is my attempt to say how much you two mean to me and I hope you are as encouraged by this letter as I am honored to call you friends. Life can be hard. If you and Pat are like the rest of us, there have no doubt been moments when I am sure it has not felt worth all the effort you two have put into SynAudCon. But take it from someone you have impacted deeply that from where I am standing, it was worth every sleepless night. I have attended many seminars in my life but I have never written a letter like this before, but I couldn’t let these thought go unshared. Do know that I count you both as dear friends and mentors.
I hope to attend another SynAudCon very soon as I have so much I need to learn, and I can think of no better place to grow and find answers. Until then, please let me know if there is anything, I can do for you or anyone in the SynAudCon community. I am always here to serve or help in any way I can.
Always in your debt,
